Single Purpose

Inspect Freeze by Kaleem Code Academy is a Chrome extension designed to help users save temporary changes made with Inspect Element so those browser-side edits can be restored after refreshing the same page.

The single purpose of Inspect Freeze is to let users freeze and reset temporary Inspect Element changes on webpages in their own browser.

The extension does not change the original website files, server-side content, or what other visitors see.

Data Usage

Inspect Freeze may handle website content because it saves edited page content locally in the user’s browser. This is necessary for the extension’s core feature.

The extension may use:

Website content, such as edited page HTML or text, only when the user clicks Freeze Changes
The current page URL, only to match saved edits with the correct webpage
Browser localStorage, only to store temporary saved page edits locally

This data is used only for the extension’s single purpose: saving and restoring temporary Inspect Element changes in the user’s own browser.

Local Storage

Saved page edits are stored locally in the user’s own browser using localStorage.

This data is not uploaded to any external server.

Users can remove saved edits by clicking the Reset Page button inside the extension.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Inspect Freeze does not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties.

Remote Code

Permissions

Used to identify the active browser tab and current page URL so the extension can apply actions to the correct page.

localStorage:
Used to save temporary page edits locally in the browser for the current URL.

User Control

Users control when Inspect Freeze saves changes.

The extension saves page edits only when the user clicks Freeze Changes.

Users can remove saved edits by clicking Reset Page inside the extension popup.

Users can also remove the extension from Chrome at any time through the Chrome extensions page.

Responsible Use

Inspect Freeze is intended for learning, testing, previewing design changes, website feedback, and personal workflow support.
